Nottingham for Easter

We were kindly invited to join Ellie and her family for
Easter in Nottingham.

Not only do they live in a perfectly "English" village,
but they have a beautiful home and have a beautiful family.

We arrived to an amazing home cooked meal but it didn't end there...
we had three days of nonstop food
...and when I say food... I mean amazingly delish food!
Ellie's mom is a great cook and continued to stuff us with her cooking and wine.
It was awesome.

We were joined by Ellie and her sister's sweet family
(twins!!)
for Easter and I finally got my baby fix.
(I'm seriously missing all of my FL babies!)

And Easter Monday we were at their local village horse races.
Point to Point to be exact.
Ellie's family sponsors the race and we had "front row" parking/seats.
Ian nicknamed it the Tweed Tailgate.
It was truly like NFL tailgating but with a bit more class...

instead of Bud cans, we had Pims, wine and champagne
instead of burgers, we had smoked salmon and roast beef sandwiches
instead of football jerseys, we had tweed
instead of pickup trucks, we had Range Rovers

It was a perfect weekend in Nottingham
and enjoyed the quiet life of the English countryside.

A big thanks to the Sansoms for hosting us...
and to Ellie for the invite.

xx
