Stow-on-the-Wold

Stow-on-the-Wold is a picturesque town –
one that you’d imagine when thinking about old charming English villages.

It was beautiful, charming and quaint and we were there for an
art exhibit with family.

Ian’s uncle, Tristan, is from a family full or artists
and his mother is a pretty renowned one.

Ursula McCannell celebrated her 90th birthday
with an exhibit honoring her work at the Fosse Gallery in Stow.

Ursula has been painting and even selling her work for more than 75 years
and we were fortunate to be with her for this very special occasion.

“ardbog day” overlooking tower bridge

The day started with a march led by the Ardbeg chopper
and a tractor over the Thames.
200 sheep balloons created a flying "flock of sheep"
over the streets of London!
Ended at Potters Fields (overlooked the Tower Bridge).

Live sheep (stamped with “ardbeg”), peat digging, sack races
and a great band, along with plenty of Ardbeg and the release of
their new limited edition whiskey, Ardbog.
(perfect Islay setting)

It was really fun to meet some of Ian's colleagues and their friends!
Really fun bunch and I'm sure we'll have plenty of other times to hang with them.

Drinks were interesting (not my personal fave, but definitely creative)!
Smoke-jito – Ardbeg’s take on the classic Mojito
Lavender Fling – Ardbeg, apple juice, lemon and lavender syrup

But the star was ARDBOG –
Mix of regular bourbon casks and aged in Manzanilla sherry casks.
All matured for at least 10 years.

Enjoy your weekend!
